Abstract
![CDATA[The Hawkesbury-Nepean Catchment is the main source of water for Sydney, Australia and the irrigated area that supplies fresh farm produce to the city markets. The future of the irrigation industry in this catchment depends on whether local government decide to curtail further housing development and on whether irrigators can utilise water more efficiently. The paper reviews various issues related to urbanisation impact on the water allocation, use, reuse and management.]]
