Abstract
![CDATA[This paper traces the data collection, analysis, development and implementation of a global education project in New South Wales secondary schools and university educational faculties over a five year period. When the project commenced in 2001, there was no framework or curriculum for global education in New South Wales. Surveys, questionnaires and interviews were conducted to develop a conceptual framework for global education and to set the principles for program development and implementation. As a transdisciplinary area of study, the sustainability of the global education project required innovative curriculum mapping across all subjects, especially geography, to generate pre-service and in-service programs and teaching and learning resources. Quantitative and qualitative evaluations have been progressively conducted to ensure continuous program improvement. The calibre of this work has been publicly recognised with university, state and national awards.]]
