In response to “Drawing maps in the fog: rethinking safety and system context in paramedic non-transport”

We were pleased to receive the letter to the editor, and thank the authors for their thoughtful engagement with our scoping review protocol examining outcomes following paramedic non-transport. Their reflections highlight the clinical and system complexities surrounding non-transport decisions and reinforce the careful, well-designed evidence synthesis in this area. We appreciate their interest in the work, and welcome the dialogue and reflection it has generated. In particular, the commentary affirms the value of undertaking a suite of work aimed at better understanding this evolving domain of paramedic practice that Ebben et al. tackled in a 2017 systematic review.
