Abstract

Lesbian and gay activism in India has become an increasingly important and visible part of the country’s sociopolitical fabric over the last few years. It has also emerged as an important human rights issue supported not only by the LG rights movement, but also sometimes by women’s rights and children’s rights movements. Tremendous success has been achieved in recent times in terms of making the country a safer and more accepting place.
