Abstract
The article focuses on the emergence of indigenous social movements in Latin America. It notes the role of the indigenous media practices in the articulation of social, political and environmental indigenous movements in the region. It features how indigenous media got a significant place in national and global media discourses, industries, policies, and funding structures. It discusses the current indigenous demands reflected in the increasing indigenous video movements and its implications.
