Abstract

This report documents a discussion of knowledge and learning related to current state of the off-site manufacturing (OSM) in Chinese and Australian residential sector using the existing literature and significant activities within the industry. The report is part of the project that is funded by The Australia ChinaScience and Research Fund Mission grant Scheme. The title of the mission was: "Integrated International Construction Supply Chains: Knowledge Transfer for Seamless Off-site Housing Systems." The objectives of the mission were to conduct joint public guest lectures and workshops in Chinese universities; visit the relevant off-site housing systems manufacturing facilities in China; and capture, share, transfer, and document the knowledge related to the off-site housing systems acquired before, during and after the visit of the mission.
