    Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: To determine whether the use of pacifiers during sleep versus no pacifier during sleep reduces the risk of SIDS. We will undertake the following subgroup analyses: 1. postmenstrual age (infants less than 28 weeks; 28 to 32 weeks; 32 to 37 weeks of age); 2. exclusively breast-fed; not exclusively breast-fed infants.
