Abstract
Everything Changes brings together examples of transcultural writing by twenty-five Australian authors, published between 1988 and 2018, showing their engagement with China in many different ways. The anthology is a book of samples only, designed to reveal the forms that an imaginative, lived response to another culture can take in the hands of a creative writer whose medium is English. This literary selection is intended to arouse the reader's interest, to excite and to inspire. It is also a resource for a broader discussion of transculturalism. There are arguments here for taking a creative approach to the interaction of cultures and for the potential of writing to develop new forms to express the interplay of cultures and the changing relations between people in shared world.
