Abstract
The article discusses various reports published within the issue, including one by Evelyn Rupert and Tim Rowse on the role of censuses in relation to the indigenous population of Canada and Australia, one by Liz McFall and Celia Lury on the assemblages of culture, knowledge and expertise, and one by Kay Anderson and Colin Perrin which examines the operation of particular device in producing new realities.
