Abstract
This chapter provides the broader background to the civil war in Sri Lanka and the lives of women with disabilities given this context. The chapter provides the reader with an opportunity to understand and reflect upon the experiences of Sri Lankan women living with disabilities, their roles as activists and advocates for peace, justice and rights. The chapter also offers the readers an understanding of the role of transnational feminist disability research in supporting and facilitating women with disabilities’ activism and advocacy.
