    Abstract

![CDATA[This paper discusses the application of narrative inquiry in the investigation of grandparents’ experiences as regular childcarers of their grandchildren. The paper tries to explain and explore aspects of narrative inquiry, by exploring its key components and outlining how this methodology was used in an actual research context. It considers the different stages or iterations of interpretation and analysis used in the research (Anfara Jr., Brown, & Mangione, 2002) and discusses some of the lessons learnt through my research process (Laverty, 2003).]]
