    Abstract

    This chapter looks at a number of issues relating to property investment, including direct investment in residential and commercial property, and indirect investment, through property trusts and syndicates. The advantages and disadvantagos of property investment are also briefly discussed. The chapter also looks at investing in tangibles, such as gold, art and other collectableso, as a means of wealth creation. (Note: the use of gearing and margin lending to fund investments is addressed in Chapter 6.)
