Abstract

Can we persist in thinking that Islam and modernity are contradictory? Or rather do not they want us to believe that Muslims believe that with age models? Our societies are multicultural and Muslims belong. Based on this assumption, St˩phane Lathion offers actionable insights on how to live together and the pitfalls associated with the visibility of religious practices and behavior of believers in the European public space. Returning to the innovative thinking of Muslim scholars, it shows that courageous paths exist, contrary fundamentalism and fundamentalism. And expanding the look to Europe, but also in Quebec through the "reasonable accommodation", it stimulates the imagination of those who are committed to the future of our secular democracies.
