Abstract
This paper is a qualitative evidence synthesis review of 52 papers mostly from high-income countries and mostly describing women’s perspectives. Levels of confidence were assessed using the GRAD-CERQual
approach (Confidence in the Evidence from Reviews of Qualitative research). Only primary studies using qualitative methods for data collection were included. The quality of the papers ranged from high confidence (7 papers), moderate confidence (18 papers) to low or very low confidence (17 papers). A thematic analysis approach was used for data extraction and synthesis.
