Abstract

Editorial: In more recent years, cricket has changed, first with the advent of a form of the game that now only takes one day to play, and more recently with a very sensible version of the game that lasts around 4 hours. With the varying forms of the game now in play, cricketers are playing for longer periods of the year, in competitions all around the world, and in situations where they are physically and psychologically pushing their athletic skills further and further. The sports science and sports medicine involvement in cricket has escalated to a point where research is paramount.
