    Abstract

    Jogando atras do arame farpado discusses the historical facts that led to the Internees Camps in Australia during the WW1, and the sports and leisures practices that the German internees have developed during their times inside the camps. The chapter reconstructs the trajectories of some sports as well as of prominent sports people who progressed their sports careers while serving as internees in the camps. The chapter also points out significant differences between differents' camps' sports' lives.
