Abstract
![CDATA[In preparing pre-service teachers, my aim is to create a community of practice. This paper draws on the reflections of a pre-service teacher, supervising teacher and lecturer. In the second half of 2008, the preservice teachers with whom I was working were preparing a unit of work for senior students in high school using music of their own choice. This paper focuses on one pre-service teacher, journeying towards the identity and work of a teacher.]]
