For soprano, piccolo, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, cor anglais, 2 clarinets in Bâ™, bass clarinet in Bâ™, 2 bassoons, contra-bassoon, 4 horns in F, 3 trumpets in Bâ™, 2 trombones, bass trombone, tuba, timpani, bass drum, tom-toms, percussion (2), harp, 2 violins, viola, violoncello, contrabass. "This is a 'welcome to country'. Hence the choice of Kamawarah for the title of the music and the occassion for which it was written - the opening music of a nationally televised public event, the Bicentenary [i.e. Centenary of Federation in 2001] celebrations, featuring Indigenous Australians (soprano, dancers and didjeridu performer)"--Performance note.
