Knowledge management in the organic era

    Abstract

    ![CDATA[Even though we are not fully capable of comprehending for sure, it is certain that we are in the Organic Era. Researchers, industrial leaders find individuals are helping the rest of the world in shaping and molding the business and industry for organic era. Change is imminent in the Organic Era. This paper examines at length the issues that are significant to Knowledge Management (KM) in the organic era for Factory of Future (FOF). It identifies a framework for the development of suitable strategies for different stages of the knowledge development cycle. It adopts a bottom up perspective to highlight the issues confronting planners and practitioners in attempting to stimulate KM in factory of future. The process of becoming organic has different stages that run parallel to natural processes. Knowledge itself is fluid, complex and described as something organic. Knowledge development cycle is the process through which an organization generates and maintains effective dynamic capabilities. In this exploratory paper arguments are centered on research questions that are: Does KM have all inevitable role in Factory of Future (FOF)? Are the different stages of development of organic Factory of Future (FOF) and knowledge development cycle concurrent processes?]]
