Abstract

In settings where digital humanities thrive, there are common ingredients, including strong structures for collaboration, frameworks for interdisciplinary dialogue, spaces for experimentation, and mechanisms for institutionally valuing and sustaining digital research activities. This paper asks: How are digital humanities knowledge networks formed, what shapes to do they take, and what can they achieve? It explores the many ways in which digital humanities communities form and collaboration can be fostered"”locally, nationally, and internationally"”with a focus on the Australasian context.
