Abstract

Kokoda: In the Footsteps of the Brave follows seven teenage boys from Sydney, Australia, as they embark on a journey of self-discovery with members of the Panthers NRL team on the unforgiving Kokoda Trail. Narrated by Panthers legend Phil Gould, the group completes what is normally a 10-day trek in just six days, sometimes trekking for up to 16 hours a day through the humid, mountainous jungle to get to camp. Kokoda: In the Footsteps of the Brave shows the highs and lows of a week spent coping in difficult conditions, trudging through shin-deep mud, a trekker being evacuated after becoming gravely ill, and the life-long friendships formed along the way. Executive producer and director, Rachel Bentley, writer, Krystyna Pollard.
