Abstract

The concept of 'Active Movement' in early childhood is a holistic one comprising quality movement, motor, cognitive, and social development, and the establishment of health promoting practices from an early age. In this report, the term 'physical activity' will be utilised interchangeably with Active Movement to encompass the concept of Active Movement and all bodily movements requiring energy expenditure.
