    Abstract

![CDATA[This paper will analyse two key moments in worker militancy during the period 1969-1975 when labour at the point of production was momentarily transformed. These two moments, the Harco 'work-in' and the Wyong 'perch-in,' may rate no mention in the broad narrative of contemporary labour history. However, their significance, when examined, may be profound, if labour is to be transformed under the conditions of monopoly capitalism. These moments represent the taking of the road less travelled in worker militancy.]]
