Research Statement
“Lessons.” Sunspot Literary Journal 4.2 (2022) [Graphic Story.]In this graphic fiction - published in the quarterly American literary journal, Sunspot which is dedicated to new forms of diverse literary writing. It has a global circulation and impact. This piece was undertaken in the view that little work in this area (graphic literary works) exemplifies the level of poetic complexity and quality that exists in literature-proper, and a desire to - in a small way - remedy this. (It is part of a projected, much-longer series.) The piece deals with regret, the unreliability of memory, and of disavowal.
