Abstract
Given the prevailing mediocrity of development advocacy and growing anti-Asian sentiments in PNG, it is imperative for the government to come up with a bold and new populist approach to arrest the situation. Unless the country reviews its current approaches towards development policy and tailors these to the tangible issues reflecting PNG's under-developed nature in its messages, the people will always struggle to be part of the development path, and thus become a missing absent partner in the development trinity of state, business, and community" regardless of the origin of the investors.
