    Abstract

The overarching aim of this programme was to study the effects of parental responsiveness on child's vocal and socio-cognitive development where the child was congenitally deaf and at a prelinguistic stage of language development. A family-centred intervention that used video feedback was at the heart of this research. This was an N = 1 single-centre, exploratory study which used mixed-methods randomised controlled design of longitudinal nature with single cases.
