    Abstract

![CDATA[Further research is needed in respect of how to strengthen the integration of MD and organisational learning and knowledge development processes. The design and development of MD models focused on achieving more effective facilitation of organisational learning processes are needed aimed to address the well-documented lack of effectiveness to deliver improved organizational learning capability. The moderating relationship between improved organisational learning processes and improved performance requires further empirical research. An identification of the different epistemological and ontological perspectives in OL theory will be undertaken with a view to pointing to opportunities for greater application of this theory in MD design.]]
