Abstract
Food allergy in young children is a growing health issue in Australia, with one in 10 infants currently affected by this condition (Osborne et al., 2011). While it is known mostly as a medical issue affecting children's physical health and safety, according to new research it is also an important social issue impacting on children's and their caregivers' socio-emotional lives and their wellbeing.
