    Abstract

The article focuses on managing medical comorbidity in schizophrenics. It is indicated that individuals with schizophrenia have an increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and diabetes than the general population. The authors note that metabolic syndrome is a significant health issue for people with schizophrenia, and some lifestyle factors contribute to compromised physical health and well-being. They conclude that clinical research on medical comorbidity in people with schizophrenia should be considered a high priority.
