Abstract
Advances in cancer survival have led to more women living long enough to reach menopause or experiencing menopausal symptoms as a result of treatment. Management can be challenging in these cases, especially when hormone therapy is not appropriate. This article outlines the consequences of untreated menopause after cancer, reviews hormonal and nonhormonal treatment options, and highlights when to refer to a specialist menopause service to support post-cancer patients in primary care.
