Abstract

The textbook helps teach undergraduate students new to mental health care challenges what it means to be a health care professional, and what can be expected in their everyday role. With an emphasis on understanding practical, real-life scenarios from both perspectives - a care provider and recipient, the fourth edition helps students not only develop a sense of empathy, but also gain confidence with the material needed to pursue a future career in mental health.
