Abstract
We are all familiar with love. And some of us can even claim to have fallen deeply in love, perhaps once or twice. But what is ‘love’ really? More importantly, what does it mean to love? Love can be, and has been, defined as an emotion, a mental state, even as a combination of the two. Yet what I am about to propose is that ‘love’ is the underpinning essence of all life. Love is a law that determines the nature of all relationships. Of course, this law, and all its effects, are most clearly visible to us in the form of human relationships, especially those of deep emotional and psychological connection.
