Methods of statistical analysis : an overview and critique of common practices in research studies

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Applying statistical methods to research studies and experimental works involves the use of certain logical ideas appropriate to study purpose and experimental procedure. Thus, the problems of statistics are not entirely mathematical problems; in fact they are intensively and largely problems based on the techniques that are in use and the requirements of the research worker. This paper is to explain some of the most important statistical analytical methods, and to illustrate the appropriate usage of each method, moreover; it gives a guide that help in choosing which methods to follow in varied research and why?
