Abstract

This chapter will describe innovative developments in mobile health (“mHealth”) and give specific examples of different technologies that are currently available. It will explain how mHealth interventions can be used to help people with serious mental health conditions, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depression. Additionally, the growing use of mHealth approaches for increasing physical activity will be discussed, with reference to novel research published in this area.
