Abstract
Trilobites from allochthonous limestone blocks of Middle Cambrian age from the Murrawong Creek Formation within the Gamilaroi Terrane of the Southern New England Fold Belt include: Diplagnostus ?floralis Opik, 1979, ?Diplagnostus sp., Clavagnostus aff. repandus Westergard, 1930, Utagnostus trispinulus Robison, 1964, Hypagnostus parvifrons (Linnarsson, 1869), Diplorrhina quadrata (Tullberg, 1880), ?Ammagnostus gullini (Jago, 1976), Phalagnostus sp., Pagetia pollosta Jell, 1975, ?Opsidiscus sp., Pentacantha murrawongense gen. et sp. nov., ?Altiocculus sp., Sudanmocarina aff. aojiformis (Chernysheva, 1956), ?Solenoparia sp. Undillia sp. and an indeterminate ?lonchocephalid. These taxa indicate an age range of Ptychagnostus punctuosus Zone to early Lejopyge laevigata Zone for the allochthonous blocks in the Murrawong Creek Formation.
