Abstract

This midwifery textbook is the first to reflect Australasian historical and sociopolitical contexts for midwifery practice and the first to frame content within the philosophy and standards of the New Zealand and Australian Colleges of Midwives. It is endorsed by the New Zealand College of Midwives and the Australian College of Midwives. Now in its fourth edition, this text provides an up-to-date evidence- and practice-based resource for midwives who work in partnership with women in woman-centred models of midwife-led care.
