Sarah Redshaw, Greg Noble

Research output: Book/Research ReportResearch report

Abstract

The report presents the findings of a study of young people’s experiences of and attitudes to driving, especially in relation to issues of gender, mobility and control. Its aim was to situate these experiences and attitudes in a larger socio-cultural context by linking participants’ responses to broader driving practices and cultural meanings. It also aimed to capture the complexity of driving as a socio-cultural practice.
