    Abstract

![CDATA[This paper describes an analytical model developed to study the behaviour of composite flush end plate joints. The model considered the concepts of partial shear connection and also partial shear interaction which allows for the existence of interface slip. Comparisons were made against experimental results of a recently completed series of composite joint tests. Experimental results of similar test arrangements and connection type published in the literature were also compared. The results emanating from the model was found to simulate the experimental behaviour with reasonable accuracy. The full flexural response of the joint was able to be predicted adequately until failure.]]
