Abstract
The four songs of Modern Folksong set to music texts, by Australian writers, written around the time of the lockdown period of 2020-2021. They portray a range of different ways of thinking about the world. The songs are written to be sung by any voice, in any order and keys can be moved as required" that's the beauty and flexibility of unaccompanied modern folksongs. Modern Folksong was written for, and given its first performance by, Nebraskan tenor, Kevin Hanrahan.
