Abstract

Populations of feral rusa deer (Cervus timorensis russa) are located along the Illawarra escarpment and require management due to their impacts on local, urban and natural environments. A study was undertaken by the Sydney Catchment Authority (Tender Number T02821330 Analysis of Satellite Data for Rusa Deer: Contract Number CN02821330) to investigate the contribution these animals make to the pathogen load in potable drinking water sources. The University of Western Sydney (UWS) was then engaged to independently analyse the data from the study, which forms this report.
