Abstract

Pulmonary diseases refer to a broad category of diseases (both acute and chronic) related to the lungs that include asthma, acute lung injury, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary fibrosis, and lung cancer. These diseases affect a significant percentage of the global population (Paudel et al., 2021a). Medicinal plants are gaining massive attention as promising therapeutics in alleviating respiratory diseases (Chan et al., 2021a; Prasher et al., 2020).
