Abstract
Gulpilil: One Red Blood, directed by Darlene Johnson, follows the life and career of multi-award wining Aboriginal actor, David Gulpilil, through interviews, clips from Gulpililââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s films, and footage of his life with his family and community in Arnhem Land. Darlene Johnson talks about some of the difficulties she faced in attempting to make a documentary that would do justice to an Aboriginal sensibility, specifically to the humour, the vigour and the complexity of David Gulpilil.
