Abstract
Several nonlinear trellis modulation codes based on multilevel continuous-phase frequency-shift keying (M-CPFSK) are presented. On additive white Gaussian noise channels these digital FM schemes achieve higher minimum Euclidean distances and memory lengths than conventional CPFSK signals.
