Abstract

Guest editorial. International news headlines in August 2017 claimed that midwives in the UK have abandoned their campaign for normal birth and midwives in Australia really ought to do the same. This was complete news to midwives and most confusing of all was that it was simply not true. Has the profession of midwifery become the latest casualty of a “post truth” world?
