Not seen and not heard : protecting elder human rights in aged care

    Abstract

    This article argues that there are significant shortfalls in the care and treatment of the elderly in aged care facilities in Australia and in the protection of their human rights. Moreover, elderly people have special vulnerabilities that make comprehensive and effective legal protection essential.
