    Abstract

In spite of the various government campaigns, dozens of educational initiatives on sexual orientation and advances in the control of the HIV virus, it continues to spread in the human population, especially among young people, which make up one of the largest vulnerable groups to the disease. PAIVA already reported the existence of more than 600,000 Brazilians with HIV and, among these; the number was the fastest growing in young people under 25 years of age. It has been reported that one third of young people between 15 and 24 years in Brazil do not know the basic information about the transmission of HIV; however, 73.9% of young people in this age group in Brazil are sexually active.
