Abstract

An observer-based robust H∞ control for a class of linear uncertain neutral-type systems is presented in this paper. Based on Lyapunov-Krasovskii theory, a delay-dependent condition for the existence of a linear full-order robust H∞ controller is constructed. By the singular value decomposition (SVD) approach, the result can be expressed in terms of a set of strict linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The proposed approach involves neither model transformation nor bounding techniques for cross terms. A numerical example is given to illustrate the usefulness of the method.
