Abstract
Offshore and Onshore are an audio track release pairing by Black Box White Cube (Greg Hughes). The tracks seek to displace audio production and mastering via the cultural techniques of 'warping' and sample rate 'buffering'. The tracks continue an application of media theory in audio-visual production concerned with the concept of 'cultural techniques'" the operational chains of becoming a medium, or an actor that constitutes culture, via the disruption of signals and communication channels.
