Abstract
In this paper, the problems of passivity analysis and passive control of continuous-time Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy time-varying delayed systems are studied. The analysis is based on the concept of very-strict passivity which is shown to be restrictive than the usual passivity. Novel techniques are applied to derive delay-dependent conditions for the solvability of the problem of designing a state-feedback fuzzy controller such that the very-strict passivity is achieved by the resulting closed-loop system. It is shown that these delay-dependent passivity conditions take the form of strict linear matrix inequalities, thus being easily solvable. The theoretical findings are illustrated by numerical results.
