Abstract

In this paper we investigate the problems of robust stability and robust stabilization of uncertain neutral systems with distributed delays. We combine the descriptor system approach and the integral inequality technique together to derive new delay-dependent sufficient conditions in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) for robust stability of uncertain delay neutral systems. We then apply this combined methodology to develop new delay-dependent sufficient conditions in the form of LMIs for robust stabilization of such systems. We finally use some illustrative examples to demonstrate the effectiveness of our results, including the improvements over the existing results.
